Poetry: Homecoming

I hear the siren call of home,
As I sit on deck watching ocean foam,
The song so plaintive and sweet,
Imagining hills I hear a sheep’s bleat,
As waves crash against the boat,
I stifle cold slip on my coat,
I see the shoreline of home,
She’s waiting there alone.
