Fiction: Flutter

I watch the red admiral flutter to a nearby flower where it twitches it’s wings as it settles. I sigh in delight marveling at nature at her very finest.

Suddenly a sparrow swoops down and lifts the butterfly away to hungry chicks. Life as ever is cruel.
